About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Safety Engineer to join their operations, focusing on the oil and gas sector . This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance across all company activities. Working entirely remotely, you will develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and promote a robust safety culture. This position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the critical responsibility of safeguarding personnel and assets in a high-hazard industry. You will collaborate with site teams and management to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and ensure regulatory compliance from your own location.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs for oil and gas operations.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and develop mitigation strategies for operational activities.
Investigate safety incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.




Promote a proactive safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement.
Audit safety procedures and practices across various project sites and operational areas.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety engineering, with a significant focus on the oil and gas industry .
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards (e.g., OHS Act, NEBOSH), and best practices.
Experience in conducting risk assessments , HAZOP studies, and incident investigations.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage safety programs remotely.
