In this senior engineering role, you will collaborate with the Linux Kernel team to maintain and enhance the kernel architecture for Arista's EOS. Your expertise in C programming will be essential as you work on integrating new kernel versions and developing kernel features tailored for our hardware products. You will be expected to mentor junior engineers while efficiently troubleshooting issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Integrate current Linux kernel features into EOS
• Develop and review kernel features using C, C++, and Python




• Collaborate with hardware teams for kernel hardware qualification
• Contribute to the Linux community by submitting patches
• Provide technical leadership across projects and guide junior engineers

Requirements:
• BS in Computer Science or Engineering + 8 years of experience
• Extensive programming experience in C; knowledge of C++ and Python
• Significant experience troubleshooting Linux kernel issues
• Understanding of IP networking principles
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
