Embrace a pivotal role with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as a Compliance Hydrologist based in St. Paul. This full-time position allows up to 50% telework, focusing on sustainable water resources management.
As part of the Ecological and Water Resources Division, you will be instrumental in ensuring central and southeast Minnesota’s natural resources are protected and sustainably managed. Your expertise in hydrology will facilitate regulatory compliance and collaborative efforts with various stakeholders, including local governments and citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with statutes affecting water use appropriation
• Support restoration activities, including Calciferous Fen protection
• Provide technical guidance to staff and stakeholders
• Promote sustainable water resource conservation
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or science discipline
• Two years of skilled hydrology experience
• Experience in technical writing and data collection
• Knowledge of hydrologic monitoring and database management
• Valid Class D Driver’s license with clear record
