About the Role Our client is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their creative product development team, operating under a fully remote model. This role is central to conceptualizing, designing, and refining mechanical products that meet market demands and exceed customer expectations. You will leverage advanced engineering principles and cutting‑edge design tools to drive projects from ideation through to production, collaborating with a globally distributed team of experts. Key Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design process for new product development, from concept generation to detailed design and validation.
Utilize advanced 3D CAD software and simulation tools to create complex designs and perform engineering analyses (e.g., FEA, CFD).
Develop detailed manufacturing drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers, in a remote setting.
Oversee prototyping, testing,
and validation activities, analyzing results and iterating on designs for optimal performance.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies and tools.
Requirements Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical product design and development.
Expertise in parametric 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and DFM/DFA principles.
Proven experience leading design projects and working within agile development frameworks.
Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment.
