Job Description:

AFixture Estimatorisresponsibletoproduceaccuratequotes,proposals,andestimatesfor Customerreview.

Primary Dutiesand Responsibilities:

- Review,understand,andsummarizecustomerrequestforquotes(RFQ’s).
- Contactcustomersforclarificationorothercorrespondenceasrequired.
- Reviewcustomersupplieddataandbuildstandards/specifications.
- Applyandinputappropriatehours,materialcosts,andpurchasecoststoproduceaccuratecostmodels.
- Prepareformalquotesandproposalsforsubmissiontothe Sales Departmentand Customers.
- Interactwithinternaldepartmentstoestablishcostmodelsbasedonactualdata.
- Workwithoutsidesupplierbasetoobtainquotes/pricingonproductstoassurepricingaccuracy.
- Otherdutiesasrequired.

Skills&Experience;:

- Knowledgeof Gauges,Checking Fixtures,Automated Data Collection Fixtures,Work-Holding Fixtures,Endof ArmTooling,andgeneral Part-Holding Specialty Tooling.
- Experiencewith AutomotiveOEM’sand Major Tier Suppliers.




- Familiaritywith Solid Worksanddatareview.
- GD&Tandgeneralfixtureconceptssuchas; Attribute Checks,Simulations,Master Parts,andSPC.
- Directexperiencewith Mechanical Design,Machining Processes,Metrology,and Fixture Build,anasset.
- Understandingofqualitysystems(ISO),5S,and Lean Manufacturingprinciples

Requirements:

- Thoroughnessandattentiontodetail.
- Excellentverbalwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
- Abilitytoworkindependentlyandadheretodeadlinesandschedules.
- Positivelyinteractwith Customers,colleagues,andmanagement.
- Valid Ontario Driver’slicense.
- Followall Healthand Safetyprocedures.

Education:

- High School Diplomarequired.
- College Degreein Mechanical Engineeringorsimilardisciplineandasset.
- Directrelevantworkexperience.
