The Makerspace Lead position falls under the Delivery Department and reports to the Nunavut Community Delivery Manager. Your primary goal will be to foster creativity and collaboration in a community-focused setting. We're particularly seeking candidates who are passionate about increasing Indigenous representation and facilitating reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee operations and activities of the Makerspace
• Collaborate with local communities to develop programming
• Mentor participants in project development and execution
• Promote an inclusive atmosphere for all ages
• Ensure compliance with safety and organizational guidelines
Requirements:
• Proven leadership experience in community or educational settings
• Background in project management or educational programming
• Commitment to Indigenous representation and reconciliation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to relocate or work in-person in Iqaluit
