Support students' success in the Learning Services Department as a Response Support Worker, dedicated to addressing the social, emotional, and behavioural needs of learners. This meaningful position offers an opportunity to make a difference.
As a Response Support Worker, you will be assigned to students needing specialized support. Your role includes monitoring behaviour management strategies and collaborating with teachers and educational assistants to implement effective interventions. You will encourage personal independence and positive behaviour through consistent support and interactions within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement behaviour management strategies
• Provide direct support in classroom activities
• Maintain communication with the Mental Health and Behaviour Team
• Administer First Aid and student medication as needed
• Assist with student supervision during activities
Requirements:
• High school diploma and relevant certifications
• At least two years’ experience in a support role
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to model patience and understanding
• Class 5 BC driver's license required
