Join Milton Hydro as a Journeyperson Powerline Technician, specializing in high-voltage electrical distribution. This full-time role blends construction, operation, and maintenance in both overhead and underground systems.

As part of Milton Hydro’s expanding team, you will report to the Supervisor of Operations and engage in troubleshooting and protected operation of electrical systems up to 27.6 kV. You must be ready for emergency call-outs and understand company standards, OHSA regulations, and utility work codes. Your expertise will not only ensure system reliability but also mentor apprentices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Construct and maintain electrical distribution systems
• Perform live line work on high-voltage lines




• Erect power line poles and associated structures
• Troubleshoot and restore electric power during emergencies
• Mentor and train apprentices

Requirements:
• MEARIE Group Journeyperson Power Line Technician Certificate
• Ontario Utility Work Protection Code certification
• Full knowledge of electrical safety rules
• Valid Class DZ driver's license
• Physical fitness to work at heights
