Job duties include but are not limited to:

Complete opening procedures for the drop in centre

Sort and organize the outreach supply room and accept donations throughout the day

Make appropriate community referrals for individuals seeking support

Keep coffee station clean and stocked

Monitor bathrooms and public drop in space

Track outreach and drop in data

Submit monthly reports to supervisor with outreach and drop in centre data

Gather impact stories

Connect with community members

Work in collaboration with other departments, students, and volunteers

Connect with community partners to bring workshops and programs to the centre

Oversee the elder food hamper program (Make and distribute 5 hampers every Tuesday)

Develop educational materials and resources to promote harm reduction strategies

Engage with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to raise awareness about harm reduction





Conduct outreach activities to connect with individuals at risk and provide them with resources and support

Collect and analyze data related to program effectiveness and community needs

Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders and funders

Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, social services, and law enforcement to create a comprehensive support network for individuals at risk

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in harm reduction, substance use treatment, or public health programs

Robust understating of the principles and practices of harm reduction

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficient in data collection and analysis

Knowledge of community resources and services related to mental health and substance use

Must be able to lift 50lbs

Must be able to walk up and down stairs

Must Provide

Criminal record and vulnerable sector check

Valid class 5 drivers license, and drivers abstract
