Join the fight against fraud as a Senior Investigator at Advanced Education Special Investigations. Lead major investigations to protect Alberta's education system and the public interest.
This full time role is based in Edmonton or Calgary and requires a strong investigative background. You will manage investigations related to fraud within Alberta Student Aid and Apprenticeship programs, preparing legal documents and mentoring junior investigators. Your work will ensure compliance and integrity in government-funded programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee investigations of criminal activities affecting education
• Collect and analyze critical evidence for cases
• Prepare and present detailed investigative reports
• Mentor and guide less experienced investigators
• Identify risks and suggest policy enhancements
Requirements:
• Applicable degree in Law, Criminal Justice, or related field
• Four years of investigative experience required
• Must be eligible as an Alberta Peace Officer
• Familiar with investigative and courtroom procedures
• Possess a valid driver's license, with some travel
