Pay: Up to $44.31/hour, based on certification and experience
We are currently recruiting for a 310T Truck & Transport Mechanic / Apprentice to join a well-established company in the ready-mix concrete and heavy transportation industry.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled mechanic who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working on heavy trucks and concrete mixer equipment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced mechanics in a well-equipped workshop, with the opportunity for training and career development.
What We Offer 310T Truck & Transport Mechanic / Apprentice
Red Seal with Safety: $44.31/hour
Red Seal without Safety: $43.47/hour
Level 4 Apprentice: $39.12/hour
Level 3 Apprentice: $34.78/hour

$1,200 annual tool allowance
$310 annual boot allowance
Company-provided uniforms
Training provided by experienced management and mechanics
Primarily workshop-based — approximately 90% in the shop
Roadside assistance is approximately 10% and can be avoided if the candidate prefers to remain fully shop-based
Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy trucks and concrete mixer equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
Troubleshoot diesel, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
Work on heavy-duty truck components and concrete mixer systems
Perform inspections and identify mechanical issues
Complete repairs safely and efficiently
Work independently while collaborating with other mechanics
Assist with roadside repairs when required and/or preferred
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Complete approximately 70% preventative maintenance and 30% repairs
Requirements
310T Truck & Transport Mechanic certification or currently registered as a Level 3 or Level 4 Apprentice
Minimum 2 years of relevant heavy-duty truck/mechanical experience
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
High school diploma or equivalent
Class 3 driver's licence with Air Brake endorsement is preferred
Manitoba Vehicle Inspection Program (MPI) certification is an asset
Welding experience is an asset
Must have your own basic hand tools and toolbox
