The Fort St. John Association for Community Living is seeking a temporary Community Support Worker. Play a key role in supporting community inclusion and enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
As part of the Supported-Independent Living Program, you will coordinate service hours to meet client needs, while fostering self-determination and safety. You'll work collaboratively to create opportunities for individuals to engage with their community, enhancing their overall well-being and fostering independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate service hours around individual needs
• Strengthen self-determination and safety within the community
• Enhance life quality through health and choice promotion
• Facilitate activities encouraging community involvement
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for all participants
Requirements:
• Must hold a Class 5 Driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle
• Capable of passing a criminal record check
• Possess excellent communication and empathy skills
• Demonstrated flexibility in service schedules
• Initiative in leading and teaching individuals
