Intermediate Financial Analyst to support a technology investment program using financial modelling, creating business cases, and ROI/CPVRR evaluations
Our energy & resources client is seeking a Intermediate Financial Analyst to support a technology investment program using financial modelling, creating business cases, and ROI/CPVRR evaluations
Candidates must be located in Edmonton. Candidates will be working a hybrid model of 2 days/week in-office
Must Haves
5+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst with a focus onbusiness cases, investment analysis, project controls, corporate finance, or FP&A;
Advanced Microsoft Excel for financial modelling, scenario analysis, and complex formulas
Experience in Business case creation, financial models, forecasts, budgets , or cost estimates
CPA professional designation or progress toward designation
Strong Nice to Haves:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline
Experience supporting technology, digital transformation, infrastructure, or capital projects
Experience within a large corporate environment
Experience within utilities, energy, or regulated industries
Responsibilities
Prepare project cost estimates, funding requirements, and total cost of ownership analyses
Perform ROI, CPVRR, and other investment evaluations
Validate financial assumptions and estimates from project teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Review business case documentation for alignment with supporting financial models
Assist with forecasting and variance explanations for intake-stage projects
Consolidate financial information across multiple projects for portfolio-level reporting
Maintain and enhance financial modelling templates, tools, and methodologies
