Silviculture Intern, Adams Lake, British Columbia
Ready to take whatyou’re learning in school and put it to work? At Interfor, we’re looking forfuture leaders who are curious, hands-on, and eager to learn. You’ll workalongside experienced professionals, build practical skills, and gain a betterunderstanding of the work that supports responsible forestry and the woodproducts industry. If you enjoy working outdoors, exploring forestedlandscapes, and seeing how field decisions support forest renewal, thisinternship offers the chance to turn classroom learning into practicalexperience. This is an on-siteinternship with an anticipated start date in May. Ideally, you’ll be availablefor a 4 to 8 month term.

Salaries starting $3,350 per month (based on your year in school and previous experience).
Temporary living allowance for interns moving to the area for the role.
WhatYou’ll Do
Gain hands-on experience supporting sustainable forest management and forest regeneration activities.
Collect and analyze field data while learning how silviculture programs support healthy, productive forests.
Use GPS and mapping tools to navigate forest areas and support forestry projects.
Collaborate with forestry professionals and contractors to help monitor and support field operations.
Build technical, analytical,
and problem-solving skills while gaining real-world experience in the field.
WhatYou Offer
You are currently enrolled in a recognized university or college forestry program.
You have completed a field season or are interested in building practical silviculture experience.
You are comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with GIS or GPS technology is an asset.
You have a valid driver’s license.
You are prepared to spend considerable time outdoors in a forested workplace and travel over uneven terrain.
You communicate clearly and can work effectively with employees, clients, and contractors.
