As a vital member of the Quality team, you'll oversee all coating operations during vessel construction. Your role will require meticulous attention to detail, along with 7 to 10 years of experience in industrial coating applications. You must have a strong understanding of marine surface preparation and be proficient in testing methods, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-process and final visual inspections for compliance
• Perform tests on adhesion, coating thickness, and more
• Ensure accurate calibration of inspection tools
• Document non-conformances in the NCR database
• Provide expert recommendations for coatings and corrosion control
Requirements:
• AMPP Certified Coating Inspector certification preferred
• 7 to 10 years in industrial coating application
• Robust knowledge of naval coatings and safety protocols
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• High attention to detail in inspections
