About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Completions Engineer to join their team in Kimberley . This role is essential for the design, execution, and optimization of well completions, ensuring safe and efficient hydrocarbon production. You will be responsible for developing completion strategies, selecting appropriate equipment and technologies, and supervising wellsite operations to maximize asset value. This position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to key projects within the Oil & Gas industry , working with a team dedicated to innovation and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in completion design and a proven ability to manage complex well challenges.
Key Responsibilities Design and engineer well completion programs for conventional and unconventional reservoirs, considering production optimization and well integrity.
Select and specify completion equipment, including casing, liners, packers, safety valves, and artificial lift systems.
Develop detailed operational procedures and contingency plans for completion operations.
Supervise and provide technical support to completion crews and service providers at the wellsite.
Analyze completion performance data, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for future wells.
Ensure all completion activities comply with company HSE policies and regulatory requirements in Kimberley .
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in well completions engineering, with experience in challenging operational environments within the Oil & Gas industry .
Proficiency in completion design software and wellbore modeling tools.
Strong knowledge of downhole equipment, materials science, and fluid mechanics related to completions.
Experience with artificial lift systems and stimulation techniques is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are crucial for this role in Kimberley .
