This role is essential for managing and protecting the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. You will advise on IP strategy, handle IP transactions, and manage IP litigation matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IP specialist to lead IP initiatives and safeguard innovation within a growing tech sector in the Northern Cape , operating on a hybrid model that blends in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive intellectual property strategies for patent, trademark, and copyright portfolios.
Conduct patentability searches, draft and prosecute patent applications.
Manage trademark clearance, registration, and enforcement.
Advise on IP licensing, joint development agreements, and other IP-related transactions.
Oversee IP litigation,



including infringement actions and validity challenges.
Provide legal opinions on IP matters and conduct IP due diligence for corporate transactions.
Requirements Qualified attorney with a minimum of 8 years of specialized experience in intellectual property law.
Proven experience in patent prosecution, trademark law, and IP portfolio management.
Strong understanding of IP litigation and transactional IP matters.
Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage complex IP matters.
Admission to the Kimberley High Court.
