This position supports policy development, legislative processes, research activities, governance initiatives, operational planning, and executive coordination across three critical leadership offices. The role is designed for an emerging policy professional capable of balancing substantive analytical work with high‑quality administrative, operational, and project coordination tasks.Key ResponsibilitiesPolicy Research SupportConduct qualitative and quantitative research.Prepare jurisdictional scans, literature reviews, and evidence summaries.Draft briefing notes, backgrounders, and analyses.Support policy evaluation and performance tracking.Synthesize complex information into clear communication products.Planning & Priority SupportSupport development and implementation of MN ‑ S Distinctions ‑ Based Focus Planning.FrameworkContribute to Locals Unit governance and capacity ‑ building work.Assist with strategic alignment analyses and planning documents.Support departmental planning and performance reporting.Cabinet, Legislative Governance SupportAssist in preparing PMC binders and briefing materials.Maintain Cabinet and legislative tracking logs.Support preparation for assemblies, legislative meetings,



and intergovernmental events.Draft submissions, speaking notes, and presentation materials.Ensure compliance with procedural timelines and requirements.Executive, Administrative & Project CoordinationManage calendars, scheduling, and travel logistics.Develop and format documents, presentations, and correspondence.Maintain secure records and filing systems.Support contractor oversight, project tracking, and reporting.Assist with budget tracking and compliance documentation.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge And SkillsUnderstanding of Métis history, governance, and legal context.Robust research, analytical, and problem ‑ solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.High attention to detail, organization, and time management.Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration tools.Michif language ability is an asset.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Indigenous Studies, Public Policy, Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration, or related field.Experience in policy research, government administration, or Indigenous governance preferred.Experience in administrative or operational coordination roles.Additional RequirementsA valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to our downtown location would be required.The successful candidate must undergo a Criminal Record Check.Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends.The Travel requirement for this position is 10%Please submit your application by 11:59 PM on February 27, 2026.Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.#J-18808-Ljbffr
