Position SummaryAs a Product Owner, you will collaborate with Product Managers on the Euna Budget product line to refine prioritized roadmap initiatives and oversee their delivery.Working alongside a cross‑functional team of Developers and UX Designers, you’ll ensure the successful execution of requirements and achievement of desired outcomes for each development cycle.You will be accountable for refining requirements, managing the backlog, and ensuring on‑time delivery of projects in each cycle.Key ResponsibilitiesBreak down features into user stories: translate high‑level features and business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that can be executed in development cycles.Collaborate with development leads and teams to ensure user stories are updated with feedback from delivery stakeholders, keeping them clear, actionable, and aligned with product objectives.Clarify requirements by continuously engaging with internal stakeholders and the development team to ensure every story has the right context and value.Maintain the product backlog: regularly update and prioritize the backlog based on feedback, including tasks, user stories, features, and technical debt, with clear deadlines and release timings.Prioritize tasks: ensure the team works on the most important tasks aligned with target outcomes for the development cycle, communicating with the PM and stakeholders if velocity indicates a potential delay.Work with the Product Manager to ensure that priorities align with overarching product initiatives and epics, providing transparency into progress.Be embedded with the development team: work closely with developers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers, serving as the go‑to person for clarifications on requirements, scope, or specific details.Provide real‑time guidance during daily stand‑ups, sprint planning,
and refinement sessions, ensuring questions or obstacles are promptly addressed to keep the sprint on track.Define and validate acceptance criteria: write transparent acceptance criteria for user stories, ensuring completed work meets predefined expectations.Accept or reject work at sprint end: evaluate results of user stories to determine if the output meets needs, providing feedback and working with the team to make adjustments as needed.Adapt to changing priorities: adjust product priorities based on feedback, customer needs, or evolving market conditions, ensuring the highest‑priority features are delivered.Ensure flexibility: pivot when new information emerges, keeping the team focused on delivering the most valuable features at any given time.Represent the customer’s interests: advocate for user needs within the development process, prioritizing features based on customer feedback.Facilitate ongoing customer feedback sessions and user testing to continuously refine product direction, communicating feedback clearly to the development team.Qualifications3+ years of experience in a Product Owner role or similar, ideally within a SaaS or software organization.Preference for candidates with previous experience in GovTech.Experience in Project Management or Scrum roles is an asset.Proven ability to break down complex features into clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.Solid experience in backlog management and release planning.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Business Analysis, SQL, Python, HTML, technical writing, wireframing, PowerPoint, Excel, Claude.Travel up to 20% may be required.LocationHybrid with 3 days/week in our Oakville, ON (or ATL, GA) office.Compensation$85-100,000 annually.#J-18808-Ljbffr
