Elevate cancer advocacy as the Senior Manager of Mission Communications at the Canadian Cancer Society. Focus on strategic communication plans to drive revenue and enhance CCS’s reputation.
In this 1-year contract position, located in various Canadian cities, you will lead the communications team and work closely with CCS's advocacy, research, and support services. You will leverage at least 5-10 years of experience in communications strategy to bring innovation and strategic insight, guiding multi-channel initiatives and managing key public narratives. Your background in public relations will be vital as you support both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategic communications plans
• Serve as trusted advisor to multiple CCS teams
• Identify opportunities for improving public narratives
• Provide issues management counsel and strategic oversight
• Mentor and lead a team of communicators
Requirements:
• Degree in communications, public health, or related field
• 5-10 years of experience in strategic communications
• Knowledge of advocacy and media relations
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
