KLS Earthworks is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Shop Hand to support our mechanics and day-to-day shop operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with equipment, and wants to gain hands‑on experience in a busy heavy‑equipment shop. For the right individual, there may be an opportunity to progress into an Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician role in the future.

What You’ll Do Assist mechanics with general shop tasks and repairs as directed
Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and materials
Clean and organize the shop and work areas
Wash and clean heavy equipment, trucks, and company vehicles
Help maintain tools, equipment, and shop supplies
Assist with moving equipment and vehicles around the yard/shop
Support basic preventative maintenance tasks as experience develops
Help ensure the shop remains clean, safe, and organized
Perform other general duties as required to support the maintenance team.
Qualifications Mechanically inclined with an interest in heavy equipment and mechanics
Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn
Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
Able to take direction and work as part of a team
Strong attention to safety and keeping a clean work environment
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Previous shop, construction, equipment, or mechanical experience is an asset but not required
