This permanent, full-time role involves 12-hour shifts with rotating schedules to provide emergency assistance in various settings. You will conduct assessments and provide life-saving interventions together with a team-oriented healthcare team. The ACP is crucial in fostering a culture of safety and person-centered care, actively participating in response teams and sharing knowledge with peers and students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform advanced medical interventions in emergency situations
• Conduct thorough assessments and physical examinations
• Collaborate within the Emergency Department for optimal patient outcomes
• Act as a preceptor for paramedic students, sharing expertise
• Advocate for and implement safety protocols in practices
Requirements:
• High School diploma valid in Newfoundland and Labrador
• Graduate from an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program
• Up-to-date BLS and OPMD Certifications
• Current Class IV driver's license and abstract
• Active registration number with NLPR
