Our Ideal CandidateWe are currently seeking Field Materials Technician(s) to support remote construction, mining, and infrastructure projects across Northern Ontario. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands‑on field work, camp environments, and rotational fly‑in/fly‑out assignments.As the successful candidate, you will support a variety of field and laboratory testing activities related to soils, concrete, and aggregate materials while working alongside experienced Construction Services professionals in remote project settings.A Day in the LifePrimary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist the Field Lead in conducting field and laboratory testing of aggregate, soils, and concrete.Perform a variety of lab materials testing and field testingAssist with mentoring new and junior employeesAssist with maintaining laboratory certificationsCommunicate test results and provide technical advice, both orally and written, to internal staff and external clients with regards to soils, concrete and aggregate issuesWork with cross-discipline teams to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules, budgets,
and to high-quality standardsEnsure safety guidelines are adhered to within the lab and in the fieldCoordinate field equipment and perform and record routine instrument maintenance and calibration of select equipment.What You’ll Bring to the TeamCompletion of a Civil Engineering Technology diploma is an asset, but not required1+ years of progressive experience lab and field materials testingCCIL and/or CSA certification is preferredExcellent communication skills (interpersonal and written)Proven ability to interact and collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environmentTechnical competence and solid attention to detailValid Drivers license and clean drivers abstractWillingness to travel to various sites across Northern Ontario and work rotational assignments as required.What’s in it for you?Fly-in/fly-out travel, accommodations, and meals provided for applicable projectsA culture of respect and inclusivity fosters long term relationships and a team atmosphereProfessional development and growth opportunities (e.G.
