As part of the Facilities Management team, the Maintenance Assistant will report directly to the Manager, Maintenance and Operations. Responsibilities include assisting tradespeople, operating university vehicles, and maintaining the cleanliness of the grounds. Strong team collaboration and effective communication are key for successful candidates in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide general maintenance and minor repairs to buildings
• Assist trades staff as required and operate university vehicles
• Maintain university grounds,



including cleanup and vegetation control
• Perform snow removal and maintain logs of activities
• Attend training sessions for building safety updates

Requirements:
• Technical certification or trades school certificate needed
• One year of experience in building maintenance environment
• Strong ability to work independently and in a team
• Communicate effectively and positively with customers
• Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts
