Location: Whistler, BC, On-site at the Fairmont
Language: Strong spoken and written English communication skills
Duration: September 14: 2 staff members required, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., pre-registration
September 15: 2 staff members required, 6:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
September 16: 2 staff members required, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Background Check Requirement: A background check and reference check are required for this position.
About the Opportunity Were looking for 2 friendly and reliable Event Support Staff to help create a welcoming, organized experience at a conference taking place at the Fairmont in Whistler. With approximately 400 attendees expected, youll play an important role in keeping registration and day-to-day event activities running smoothly.
This is a great short-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in an upbeat event environment. Youll work alongside the conference team, welcoming attendees, answering questions, distributing materials, and helping create a positive experience from the moment guests arrive.

Your Responsibilities Youll support pre-registration on September 14, helping early arrivals collect badges and registration cards while keeping lines organized and moving efficiently
Youll greet attendees, provide directions, answer basic event-related questions, and maintain a friendly and professional presence
Youll help prepare the registration area,



including setting out tablecloths, badges, registration materials, and small giveaway items such as T-shirts
Youll distribute badges, registration cards, and other conference materials to attendees
Youll assist with general event logistics and light set-up tasks as needed
Youll collaborate with the event team to keep registration organized and provide a positive attendee experience
Skills and Qualifications Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence interacting with a wide range of people
Reliable and punctual, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently
Friendly, positive, and professional approach to customer service
Calm and flexible in a busy conference environment
Comfortable completing light physical tasks and handling items under 30 lbs
Collaborative team player who is willing to help wherever needed
No previous event experience required
