Origin at Spring Creek is seeking a Cook in Canmore, AB. We have two positions available.

Terms of Employment
Wage: 22.00/hour

Position: Full-time, Permanent.

Vacation: 2 weeks

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to hotel recipes.

Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to company recipes using various kitchen equipment.

Precook necessary ingredients as well as pre-assemble dishes and ingredients with appropriate portions.

Portion, arrange, and garnish food.





Coordinate the work activities of kitchen staff.

Prepare weekly work schedules and requisitions for commissary meats and other food items.

Engage in the inventory of food items and prepare estimates of quantities of food items to be prepared.

Monitor and order supplies as required.

Ensure all food is prepared fresh and is of the highest quality.

Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices.

Education and Experience

Must have completed high school;

Must have at least 2 years of commercial cooking experience;

Must be able to multi-task and plan ahead.

Must be able to communicate in English;

Must have excellent communication and organization skills.
