About The Role
As a Development Miner with Dumas, you will perform underground development activities such as drilling, blasting, scaling, and installing ground support. You’ll operate and maintain equipment like jumbos, bolters, and scoops, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and conducting routine checks and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform underground development activities including drilling, blasting, scaling, and installing ground support.
Operate and maintain mining equipment such as jumbos, bolters, and scoops.
Ensure compliance with Dumas and site safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
All other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of underground mining experience, preferably in development.
Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification.
Solid knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
