In this role, you will be an Independent Contractor with Schlegel Villages, aligning with our ethos of holistic care. Candidates must have a degree in Horticulture Therapy or equivalent and completed the necessary internship hours. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on horticultural activities for residents
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for tailored care
- Encourage participation in recreation programs
- Build supportive relationships with residents and families
- Implement resident-centered care plans
Requirements:
- Degree in Horticulture Therapy or related field
- 480 hours internship completed
- Membership in Canadian Horticulture Therapy Association is an asset
- Previous experience with elderly populations preferred
- Strong understanding of care methods and legislation
