About the Opportunity

Howard Professional Services, Inc. is an established, multidisciplinary psychology clinic

specializing in trauma, PTSD, and complex mental health presentations, including work with

veterans, first responders, and insurance-based clients.

We are seeking a Psychiatrist or MD with a strong interest in Psychiatry to join our collaborative

team in a flexible, low-administrative-burden role. This is an excellent opportunity for a

psychiatrist interested in part-time private practice alongside hospital or community work.

Role Responsibilities

- Psychiatric consultations and diagnostic clarification
- Medication management and follow-up
- Collaboration with psychologists on complex cases
- Optional involvement in multidisciplinary assessments (e.g., trauma, disability)

Compensation

- Independent contractor model




- Competitive split: 70% psychiatrist / 30% clinic
- Psychiatrists bill directly through Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP)
- Private/third-party work available (optional additional revenue stream)

Qualifications

- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of

Alberta

- Royal College certification in Psychiatry (or equivalent)
- Interest in trauma, PTSD, and complex mental health presentations is an asset
