Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire children through engaging, hands-on art instruction. The ideal candidate will foster a love for the arts, encourage artistic expression, and develop students’ technical skills in sketching, cartooning, and acrylic painting. This role involves teaching small group classes, supporting curriculum development, and creating a positive learning environment that nurtures creativity, confidence, and curiosity.

Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver engaging art lesson plans suitable for children of various ages and skill levels
- Teach foundational art techniques, including sketching, cartooning, and acrylic painting
- Guide students in building both technical skills and creative expression
- Assess student progress and provide constructive, age-appropriate feedback
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and confidence in all students




- Support the planning of art-related activities, events, or student showcases
- Manage classroom materials and supplies efficiently

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in sketching and acrylic painting
- Passion for working with children, with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Effective communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable, responsible, and professional work ethic
- Relevant art certifications or portfolio is required to demonstrate artistic ability

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience teaching or working with children is an asset
- Background in art, design, or a related field (students and graduates welcome)

Compensation

- $18 per hour
