Duties include individual and group counseling, case planning and program development. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption:



No Education Bachelor of Chemical Dependency A degree acceptable by the employer with relevant experience Other Education and Training Bachelor of Social Work is acceptable Competencies Organizational skills Communication skills Computer skills Knowledge and Abilities Know of community resources to support clients/families dealing w/addiction Knowledge in applicable best practice models/current research/relapse prevention Knowledge in individual, family, group, and crisis counselling methods Knowledge in group dynamics Knowledge of criminal justice system & correlation between offending behaviours.

Ability to promote healthy lifestyles with diverse populations Apply crisis/problem solving with clients w/ addiction/mental health issues Ability to accurately assess addictions and/or addiction related issues.
