Summer Family Assistant / Caregiver Needed – Thorndale, ON

Looking for a reliable, kind, organized individual to provide household support and light caregiving for my three children during occasional work travel and select evenings/weekends.

This is NOT a high-intensity nanny position. My children are older (16, 15, and 12), and the role is primarily focused on structure, driving support, meals, light supervision, and ensuring everyone has what they need while I’m away.

One child has additional support needs, so experience with children/teens with developmental differences is an asset.

Current dates needed:

- Sept 13 a Oct 4, 2026
- Additional opportunities may become available throughout the summer/fall

Responsibilities include:

- Driving to activities when needed
- Meal prep / lunches
- Evening check-ins and general household support
- Providing calm, reliable oversight while I travel for work

Ideal candidate:

- Reliable and emotionally steady




- Has a vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- Comfortable with older children/teens
- Background in education, EA work, nursing, social work, childcare, or similar is a plus

This position may work well for:

- Education or nursing students
- Educational assistants off for the summer
- PSWs
- Mature university students
- Someone looking for adaptable supplemental income
