This role provides financial, strategic, and analytical expertise to support business decisions that drive long‑term, profitable growth.As a member of the Canadian Distribution Channel Leadership Team, the Finance Business Partner will lead high‑impact activities such as financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and business case development. They will deliver actionable insights into day‑to‑day operations and strategic initiatives, proactively identifying trends and opportunities to improve performance.The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with business intuition, influencing skills, and the ability to collaborate across all levels of leadership. This role requires thought leadership, negotiation capabilities, and a deep understanding of commercial dynamics to provide objective counsel and enable informed decision‑making.Key ResponsibilitiesWith oversight from the VP and GM, Canadian Distribution and the Director,
Finance Business Partnering, manages and communicates on a weekly basis the priority list and status for support requests from the Canadian Distribution Leadership Team to ensure full transparency and alignment across regions (including national team members) and the broader Finance organizationRepresents the interest of the Canadian Distribution Leadership Team in discussion with the CFO, Corporate Controller, the Director, Finance Business Partnering and the broader FP&A and Finance teamCollaborates with broader Finance and IT TeamsSupports the broader IT and Finance teams’ efforts to drive automation and standardization in reporting and analytics and implement best practices across functions to scale Metrie’s processes and capabilities and drive efficienciesLeads Monthly Channel Business ReviewReviews, analyzes and provides commentary and insights on monthly financial results to support rich insight‑driven reporting at the Canadian Distribution Leadership TeamPresents regional financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Canadian Distribution Channel Leadership Team on a monthly basis (or as needed), including variance explanations vs. budget, prior year and forecastPlays a lead role in monthly financial forecasting, including challenging key forecasting assumptions and providing proactive assessments of financial risks and opportunitiesAccountable to explain forecasting changes to Channel Leaders and broader Finance teamPlays a lead role in annual budgeting process, working collaboratively with the Regional Directors and the broader Finance teamReview commercial contracts, providing Canadian Distribution Team with advice on many aspects beyond the basic financial terms.

The base pay range for this role is set at $122,400 – $130,000. It is key to note that this position may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or sales incentive payments. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual’s skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
