NVIT has an opening for a Term Instructor in the Bachelor of Social Work program in Vanderhoof, BC. Teach SOCW 340 in an interactive, hybrid setup.
The Term Instructor will be responsible for delivering comprehensive education on Social Work & Healthcare, utilizing both in-class and online strategies. Candidates must hold a Master of Social Work degree and have a minimum of two years’ teaching experience, specifically with Indigenous adult learners. Ability to connect with local Indigenous social service agencies is vital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver SOCW 340 in hybrid format
• Create engaging online and classroom experiences
• Manage course content through Moodle and related platforms
• Develop partnerships with Indigenous communities
• Contribute positively to the academic environment
Requirements:
• Master of Social Work degree (MSW)
• At least two years of teaching experience
• Familiarity with Indigenous perspectives in social work
• Proficient in Moodle, Teams, and Outlook
• Solid collaborative and relational skills
