technical research and system designIdentify opportunities to use AI and automation to simplify repetitive engineering tasks and improve development workflowsStreamline the deployment process and ensure automation and continuous integration best practices are followedDevelop internal tools to optimize the management and monitoring of our deploymentsAnalyze current technologies and processes, and rapidly research, evaluate and experiment with new approaches to improve them, leveraging AI tools to accelerate the path from idea to implementationProvide technical and analytical guidance to other Engineering team membersParticipate in drafting, reviewing and maintaining technical documentationParticipate in product management planning of product features and development projectsParticipate in the on-call production support rotationRequirements5+ years’ experience in software development3+ years’ experience building serverless AWS applications and working with the AWS SDK3+ years’ experience monitoring, supporting and enhancing production applications1+ years’ experience actively using modern AI development tools as a core part of the software development lifecycle, including coding, debugging, testing, code review, technical research, documentation and system designDemonstrated ability to leverage AI to materially improve engineering productivity while maintaining strong engineering judgment, code quality, security and reliabilityExpertise in one of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or GoExperience building CI/CD pipelines and applying automation and continuous integration best practicesExperience with infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or TerraformExperience with SQL and NoSQL datastores such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDBExperience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog or Current RelicComputer Science degree, relevant diploma or demonstrable equivalent work experienceExperience with ReactJS or React Native is an assetExperience in the life sciences, healthcare or technology industry is an assetExcellent oral and written communication skills in English; French communication skills are an assetYou are legally entitled to work in Canada#J-18808-Ljbffr
