We are looking for a full time Shipper/Receiver for our Hercules branch in our Edmonton, AB location. Reporting to the Production Supervisor , this role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the warehouse, ensuring organization of the area, inventory and equipment and ensuring the efficient and effective execution of customer sales orders, branch transfers and departmental picking.

Responsibilities

- Prioritizes daily workflow based on required by dates on orders
- Ensures cycle count activities are completed
- Communicates directly with the Branch Manager on any department requirements for training, supplies or maintenance
- Oversees all shipping and receiving activities
- Prepares, packages and schedules out-going shipments with transport companies
- Unloads and sorts incoming shipments and inter-branch transfers




- Ensures all required paperwork for all orders is complete
- Provides superior customer service by tracking shipments as required
- Provides support to Front Counter Retail Sales when needed and provides excellent customer service to entering customers
- Provides support to Production Team when necessary
- Conducts Quality Assurance (QA) checks on outgoing orders
- Motivates employees and maintains a positive environment

Qualifications

- High school degree or equivalent an asset
- Previous warehouse experience is required
- Previous customer service experience an asset
- Computer skills and ability to use systems for shipping and receiving
- Previous training in forklift operation considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
