OverviewAs Controller, you’ll play a key role in shaping financial discipline and supporting the continued growth of a purpose-driven Canadian brand. You will lead day‑to‑day accounting and financial reporting functions while ensuring strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and financial integrity across the organization. This role partners closely with the VP of Finance and cross‑functional leaders to support sound decision‑making and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesEnsure timely and accurate recording and reporting of all financial mattersDevelop, approve, and implement internal accounting policies, procedures, and controlsAssign tasks and projects to staff and supervise month‑end proceduresManage the annual year‑end financial review with external accountantsDirect and prepare fiscal operational budgetsOversee and audit the yearly standard costing processLiaise with external parties on tax and regulatory mattersProvide strong leadership and build team effectiveness through ongoing communication, participation in decision making, and development of skillsConduct performance management, coaching,



and team development initiatives in accordance with the People & Culture DepartmentAssist in formulating and developing the Finance Department’s annual strategic plan in collaboration with the VP of FinanceQualificationsCPA designation – CA, CGA, CMA or equivalentCompletion of a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or financeExperienced finance leader with a minimum of five years of professional experience in finance and administration managementExperience in consumer goods, manufacturing, and inventory‑based businesses is an assetStrong communication, problem‑solving, leadership, and technical proficiencyDemonstrated ability to work independently, motivate and manage people, and use sound practical judgementSalary & BenefitsThe salary range for this role is $95,000 – $125,000 per year, subject to experience and qualifications. The position is eligible for an annual bonus program.
