The Self-Checkout Attendant supports a positive shopping experience by providing friendly, helpful service and assisting customers as they complete transactions in the self-service checkout area.

What You'll Do

- Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards: Keeps a clean, safe, and organized self checkout area, ensuring it remains free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and spills.
- Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives: Supports the promotion of company sponsored programs, including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives.
- Support Customers at Self Checkout: Helps customers use self checkout quickly and confidently by offering assistance when needed, monitoring activity, and completing required checks. Escalates cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.
- Respond to EAS Alerts: Responds to EAS alarms in accordance with procedures and accurately completes the Failure to Deactivate log.
- Manage Scan & Go Equipment:



Ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.
- Flexibility: Open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Physical Demands

- Standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail.
