Pay: $31.95 per hour.QualificationsGrade 12 education supplemented with a minimum of 30 credits of post‑secondary education in First Nations/Indigenous studies or a Human Services Worker program certificate.Valid Food Safe Level 1 certification.Three years of recent experience working with Indigenous students, parents/guardians and the community (e.G., First Nations, Métis or Inuit/Indigenous Youth programs, school‑based Indigenous support programs, friendship centres).Indigenous ancestry required.Demonstrated respect and understanding of Indigenous cultures, heritage, customs and values, and ability to apply this knowledge to foster culturally secure, inclusive and supportive relationships.Ability to perform record‑keeping tasks, collect and monitor data, and coordinate student programs.Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s licence with a personal vehicle suitable for the type of equipment/vehicle being operated.Physical readiness for the position.Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.ResponsibilitiesWork under the supervision of school or district leadership and as a member of the Indigenous Education Services team.Enhance support for Indigenous students through culturally responsive academic and personal guidance.Serve as a role model and advocate for Indigenous students and their families.Liaise with teachers,
