The Toronto‑site Quality Director will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems and operational excellence initiatives, aligning with company goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of the site’s quality and continuous improvement strategy, aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.Establish and maintain quality standards, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and exceed customer expectations.Drive a culture of Total Quality Management (TQM) and continuous improvement across the organization.Identify, resolve, and prevent complex quality issues and deviations through collaboration with production, engineering, and other departments.Conduct mentor‑driven Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.Develop and track quality performance indicators (KPIs) and report results to senior management.Lead cross‑functional initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and operational performance.Oversee audit systems to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.Ensure alignment with industry standards and maintain the organization’s regulatory compliance posture.Collaborate with procurement to evaluate and monitor supplier quality, ensuring consistent performance and reliability.Partner with operations, engineering,
and business leaders to align quality strategies with overall company objectives.Represent quality leadership internally and externally in support of customer, regulatory, and operational requirements.Manage engineering, supervisory, and technical staff, driving performance using yield and RMA KPIs and guiding teams to achieve operational targets.Expectations for SuccessBroad knowledge of the organization’s functions and the ability to lead multiple functional areas.Ability to influence leadership decisions and contribute to organizational alignment across functions.Strong leadership across people management, project participation, and strategic initiatives.Expertise in quality systems and industry standards, including PCI/E product and technology development and manufacturing processes.Strong analytical capabilities, including data analysis, engineering evaluation, and reporting.Ability to mentor and coach others, provide feedback, and support the development of future leaders.Solid critical thinking and decision‑making skills with the ability to challenge assumptions and present complex analyses to senior leadership.Knowledge, skills, and experience in technical product and manufacturing knowledge, root cause analysis, lean and risk management, and customer and supplier quality management.QualificationsEducation : Advanced Management or Technical Degree preferred.
