Working with job seekers and their established goals, the Job Developer will ensure that a targeted number of job seekers secure employment per month and will work toward marketing to a targeted number of recent employers permonth (as directed). Additionally, the Job Developer will be working with Clients to ensureshort and long termjob sustainment goals are met.Status:Temporary ,Full-Time(35 hours) untilreturnof incumbent.Whatyou’llbe doing:Working with job seekers todeterminetheir individual needs and skills to market to employers in the labour marketCollaborating with Case Managers to ensure Client employment goals arein linewith signed action planConducting and managing schedule of one-to-one job development meetingsDeveloping employment opportunities for candidates by maximizing,implementingandmaintaininga sound marketing strategy. (Including: candidate matching, effective customer service and follow up activities),facilitatingemployment interviews and coaching participants in job interviews strategiesDirecting marketing to employers to promote specific candidate skill sets, marketing the right skills to the right job leadsFacilitating Wage Subsidy Work Experience PlacementsMaintaining a rapport withClients pre/post job placement to ensure candidates receiveappropriate supporttomaintainemploymentAssistinginmaintainingthe online job board and sending job leads to candidatesManaging internal applicant tracking system: consisting of employer contact details, tracking and document day to day Client activities,
and regularly update Case Managers on candidate activityMaintainingaccurateClient notes and records as per policy and QA guidelinesLiaising with employers to organize targeted hiring events and connect them with other services throughout the YWCAActing as a champion of the program, promoting our services throughout community and networking eventsWorking collaboratively toassistwith outcomes of the larger job development team at YWCAStrategizing with leadership to continually improve processes and increase employment statisticsWhatyou’llneed:2 years’ job development, career coaching, or placement experience in a related settingDemonstrated ability to build lasting professional relationships with ClientsandemployersExperience writingClient notes and keepingaccuratefiles and recordsFamiliarity with theWorkBCmodel is an assetExcellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skillsA demonstrated positive attitude towards changeRelatedpost-secondarydegreeordiploma,orequivalentcombinationofeducationand experienceAdhere to onsite Health and Safety ProceduresAccess to reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the cityMust be available normal working hours Monday – Friday with the ability to work the occasional evenings andweekendsA valid criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) isrequiredWhat we offer:12%in lieu of time off and benefitsFlexible working arrangements for applicable positionsEmployee Family Assistance Program,
