As a Data Engineer Co‑op, you’ll gain hands‑on experience building and supporting the data systems that power business insights and decision‑making. You’ll work with up-to-date data tools and platforms to design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and workflows, helping transform raw data into meaningful, actionable information. We are currently looking for a highly motivated student to join us in our Toronto, Ontario, Canada office for a 4‑month co‑op, running from January5–April . This is a hybrid position, where you are expected to be in the office Tuesday‑Thursday, with the opportunity to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Position Responsibilities

- Contribute to a team of data engineers focused on building reliable, scalable data systems
- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and workflows
- Assist with data ingestion, transformation, and preparation for reporting and analytics use cases
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to understand data requirements and support solutions

Required Qualifications

- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java)
- Interest in data engineering concepts, including data pipelines and data processing
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to data tools (e.g., Spark,



Databricks, or similar technologies)
- Basic understanding of ETL processes, data modelling, or data warehousing
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Understanding of large‑scale data processing concepts

Salary

The salary range is expected to be between $52,650 CAD to $70,200 CAD. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro‑rated based on the length of the work‑term.
