DescriptionOverall production support ownership of New Product Implementation as well as existing product familiesCombining Caterpillar Technical information with OEM process and procedures in order to create clear and concise best practice production support documentationCo-ordinate with Product Groups to validate technical specification and shop floor practices to ensure final production meets the appropriate final product requirementsProducing or arranging for illustration purposes, drawings and photographs included in the documentationMaintaining the accuracy and consistency of all technical documentation, via Document Change Requests (DCRs)Work with Product Groups to implement and roll out Technical Updates; i.E.: Service LetterManaging the document development, updating and reviewing processes to ensure timely completionSupport continuous improvement initiatives and other projects in the interests of production supportWork with Inspection to maintain the wheel hub & spindle crack report spreadsheetsSubmit Service Information Management System (SIMs) entries to CATQualificationsPreferred candidates will have a technical background such as Engineers, Technologist, or Heavy Duty MechanicsProven writing, research and formatting skills, particularly in a technical industryThe ability to interact with various levels within the organization, conduct interviews with subject matter experts and analyze information to understand the product and proceduresPossess a strong knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition,



and grammarHave the ability to assimilate and convey technical material in a concise, effective mannerKnow how to find information and identify essential detailsStrong attention to detailExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentStrong command of Microsoft Office suite of programs2 - 3 years’ exposure to manufacturing plant, machine shop activities considered and assetExperience with heavy duty engines considered an assetDetailsThis position is a Monday to Friday role based out of our OEM Remanufacturing facilityBase salary ~ $75000+ per year, based on experience, as well as bonus eligibilityCompetitive benefits packageDefined Contribution Pension Plan and Employee Share Purchase plan (with employer matching components)3 weeks' vacation to start (plus flex time)At Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
