Role OverviewThe Senior Manager, Operational Finance leads the operational finance function across the United States and Canada. Responsibilities include managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, driving process improvement, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align finance with corporate strategy.ResponsibilitiesOwn and oversee financial operations for AP, AR, payroll, cash management, banking, and month‑end close across US and Canada.Act as the final escalation point for high‑risk or judgment‑heavy items impacting financial statements or compliance.Oversee preparation and quality of financial statements and management reports in line with IFRS/US GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.Drive measurable improvements in balance sheet quality, reconciliations, documentation, and close discipline.Lead external audits, statutory reporting and regulatory interactions across the territory, ensuring audit readiness and timely remediation.Coordinate with Tax, Legal, Payroll and external advisors to achieve compliant outcomes.Lead and develop two regional operational finance teams (US & Canada) and partner with a Shared Services Center in the Philippines.Identify and drive process simplification, automation and AI‑enabled improvements across transactional finance, reconciliations and reporting.Collaborate with Finance Systems and IT teams on ERP enhancements (e.G., SAP, Workday).Support financial planning activities, represent operational finance in initiatives with material financial or compliance implications, and present insights to senior stakeholders.Monitor KPIs and financial metrics related to accuracy, timeliness, efficiency, compliance and control effectiveness,



and mitigate risks through preventive and detective controls.Qualifications5+ years of progressive experience in operational finance, controllership or finance operations.Demonstrated experience leading U.S. and Canadian finance operations, including payroll, audits, and statutory compliance.Experience in a SaaS or FinTech environment.Practical exposure to ERP systems such as Workday and SAP.History of inheriting and stabilising complex operational finance environments following leadership or organisational transitions.Prior people‑management experience, including cross‑regional or SSC‑supported teams.Solid understanding of internal controls, audit processes and multi‑entity finance environments.Experience leading process improvements, automation or AI adoption in finance.Comfort operating in ambiguous, high‑volume, high‑responsibility environments with limited guidance.Clear, effective communication and confidence to collaborate with senior stakeholders across functions and regions.BenefitsCompetitive salary range (CAD 113,680.00 – 156,310.00 per annum) with bonus scheme and pension.Extensive work‑life balance support.Career development opportunities with an individualised approach.Hybrid work policy: work from the office two days a week and remote work on other days.Equal Opportunity EmployerSimCorp is an equal‑opportunity employer.
