Make a meaningful impact as a Youth Outreach Worker in Richmond, focusing on youth aged 12 to 17 in crisis. This role emphasizes mentorship, advocacy, and support for positive youth development.
In this vital position, you will engage with youth involved or at risk of involvement in the criminal justice system. You will provide case support, individualized service planning, and facilitate access to community programs. Your work will dynamically support the Building Bridges initiative while collaborating with various agencies, including Richmond RCMP and local schools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop trusting relationships with at-risk youth
• Coordinate referrals from multiple community partners
• Conduct assessments to create individualized service plans




• Offer ongoing mentorship and problem-solving support
• Respond to immediate concerns and connect to resources
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field
• 2 to 5 years of experience in youth outreach
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence
• Standard First Aid and CPR Certification
• Familiarity with youth justice system and community resources
