We are currently seeking a Technical Development Research Officer (Database and Dashboard) to provide support to a number of initiatives under the supervision of the Community Support Team Lead/Waa' Naadmaaged.ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures for coordination, procurement,



development and implementation of language services for the Shingwauk database and dashboard to improve accessibilityEstablish work priorities for technical team and support staff, and ensure deadlines are met and cultural protocols and procedures are followedAdminister policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation for Survivors of Shingwauk Indian Residential SchoolCoordinate and plan for the services, such as accommodation, relocations, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security servicesConduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting and project planning and management processesAssist in preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controlsAssemble data and prepare periodic and special reports,



manuals and correspondenceMay supervise records management technicians and related staffAttend regular supervisory and NORDIK Team meetings (including 2-3 meetings per month for the entire NORDIK team).Attend professional development training and activities provided by NORDIK.QualificationsA Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or closely related field is strongly desired.Experience in a senior clerical or executive secretarial position related to office administration, or related field (including administration-focused research positions), is required.Programming Languages- Python (Proficient), SQL(Familiar), C/C++ (Familiar)Excellent understanding of Backend languages such as PythonAdvanced debugging and profilingSound experience in any of these Backend languages is mandatoryExperience in Unit/Integration TestingUnderstanding of front-end coding.
