Reporting to the VP, Construction, you will overseedaily project operations, providing leadership to field teams, coordinatingsubcontractors, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and inalignment with project goals.As the primary on-site representative, you’ll buildstrong relationships with clients, operations teams, and internal stakeholderswhile driving a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, andoperational excellence. This role is ideal for a strong leader who thrives incomplex environments, values teamwork and mentorship, and can confidentlybridge communication between the field, Project Services, and corporate teamsto keep projects moving forward successfully.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Be a courageous leader through TNDC’sValues of Safety, Tahltan-Centered, Integrity, Respect, Trust, and Pursuit ofExcellence.Develop and execute project plans,schedules, and budgets in alignment with client requirements, TNDC standards,and company objectives.Manage contractual and commercialaspects of assigned projects, including scope changes, change orders,subcontractor agreements, and dispute resolution.Monitor project performance, identifyrisks, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects are deliveredsafely, on schedule, within scope, and on budget.Requisition personnel, services,material, supplies, tools and equipment for assigned projects in accordancewith company guidelines, standards, and prepared budgets.Provide input and recommendations onemployee and subcontractor staffing decisions, including promotions, transfers,compensation adjustments, discipline, suspension, or termination,



incoordination with Human Resources and site management.Ensure all site activities comply withapplicable safety regulations, environmental requirements, and companypolicies.Lead safety initiatives includingaudits, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations,implementing preventive measures as required.Serve as the primary on-site point ofcontact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships andeffective communication.Track project costs, review and approvesubcontractor invoices and change orders, and ensure financial accountability.Identify and implement cost- andtime-saving opportunities without compromising safety, quality, or performance.Ensure all work meets projectspecifications, industry standards, and quality requirements throughinspections and quality control processes.Prepare and maintain accurate projectdocumentation and reporting, including safety, financial, and operationalmetrics.Identify opportunities for continuousimprovement, best practices, and innovation to enhance project delivery.Step into supervisory roles required tosupport continuity during critical or high-demand phases of the project.Provide hands-on leadership anddecision-making during complex, high-risk, or time-sensitive projectactivities.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEDegree or Diploma in Engineering,Construction Management, Business Administration, a related technical field, oran equivalent combination of progressive field-based experience and education.Minimum of 15 years of directexperience in heavy civil, mining, industrial, oil & gas, chemicalrefining, or related construction management environments.Expert knowledge of constructionmethods, technologies, equipment, scheduling, project execution,



and costcontrol practices.Solid verbal and written communicationskills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex information to diverseaudiences.Proven ability to lead with integrity,professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment in all aspects of work.Strong analytical, critical thinking,and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make effective, data-drivendecisions in high-pressure environments.Ability to thrive in dynamic and remoteproject settings, with flexibility to travel or relocate as operational needsrequire.Demonstrated leadership skills with afocus on collaboration, innovation, team development, and drivinghigh-performance results.Mentorship and Knowledge SharingProvideguidance, training, and mentorship to team members, especially local Tahltanworkers, by sharing technical skills, safety practices, and industry knowledgein a respectful and culturally aware manner.
