This role involves planning, analyzing, and overseeing survey and construction-related activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to interpret survey data, support project planning, and ensure that all engineering and construction work aligns with regulatory standards and project specifications. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical expertise with strong problem-solving and field coordination skills.Responsibilities:Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirementsPlan and design major civil projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, dams, water and waste management systems and structural steel fabricationsDevelop construction specifications and proceduresEvaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materialsInterpret,



review and approve survey and civil design workConduct field services for civil worksEnsure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulationsEstablish and monitor construction work schedulesConduct feasibility studies, economic analyses, municipal and regional traffic studies, environmental impact studies or other investigationsMonitor air, water and soil quality and develop procedures to clean up contaminated sitesConduct technical analyses of survey and field data for development of topographic, soil, hydrological or other information and prepare reportsAct as project or site supervisor for land survey or construction workPrepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projectsSupervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates.RequirementsBachelor's degree in civil engineering, Surveying Engineering, or related field.Valid G License is mandatory.Must own a personal vehicle for site visits.Availability to work on-site in Ontario during the summer period.Strong understanding of surveying techniques, civil design, and construction methodologies.Proficiency in interpreting survey data, maps, and engineering drawings.Knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, and compliance standards.Experience with field surveys and use of surveying equipment/tools.Ability to conduct technical analysis and prepare detailed engineering reports.Competitive compensation for the summer term.Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Canadian construction projects.Exposure to diverse infrastructure and building projects.Work with a team-oriented and cross-functional engineering team.Diversity & InclusionConcept Dash is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
