The Town of Conception Bay South invites applications for the position of Lifeguard/Instructor in the Recreation and Leisure Services Department.

UNIONIZED POSITION
Permanent Part-Time

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

This position is responsible for ensuring maximum safety for all patrons in the swimming pool and deck area and instructing programs when scheduled. This position reports directly to the Aquatics Supervisor or Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation “CPR” Level C certification
- Standard First Aid
- Lifesaving Society “Swim Instructor” course
- Swim lessons Instructional experience

SKILLS:

- Customer service skills, along with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

The successful applicant must provide an acceptable Certificate of Conduct with Vulnerable Sector Check prior to commencement. Valid First Aid and BCLS certifications must accompany all applications.
