We also leverage the expertise of our XPS partners in process control, extractive metallurgy, and process mineralogy to complement our skills and deliver comprehensive support.The Group Is Well Equipped To Address Needs Through On-site Plant Support, Design Engineering And Laboratory Materials Testing And Root Cause Failure Analysis.



We Can Reduce Risk And Add Value To Our Client’s Project Or Operation ThroughQuality Assurance / Quality Control in Equipment FabricationEquipment Integrity AssessmentRoot Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)Materials SelectionMaterials Testing for Corrosion and WearEquipment Fabrication SpecificationsResponsibilities & AccountabilitiesThe primary functions of theMaterials Intern (EIT)are:On-site inspection and evaluation of in-service plant equipment, including confined space entryQAQC on new equipment during fabrication or existing equipment repairsAssist in repair designs of plant equipment in areas of welding, masonry, coating, non-metalsSupport laboratory testing; materials for corrosion, wear and structural applicationsSupport laboratory RCFA projectsProject coordination and managementA commitment to safety and sustainabilityProvide support to senior engineers, must be willing to participate in projects worldwideProfessional development and safety trainingEducation/Experience/SkillsThe ideal candidate will possess:A Bachelor or Graduate degree or specialization in materials or metallurgical engineeringPrevious work or academic experience with root cause failure analysisUnderstanding and exposure to base metals flowsheetsAbility to travel domestically and internationally ~ 30%Ability to work inside confined spaces and wear applicable personal protective equipmentProject management skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic teamAn entrepreneurial spiritExcellent problem solving, time management and analytical skills with keen attention to detailClient focusedStrong knowledge of MS Office Suite or equivalent productsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFrench and English language skills requiredEligibility for P.Eng. is necessaryWe consider many factors when determining the annual base salary, including location, market, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications and other relevant skills.
